The following Loyalty Program terms and conditions Applicable to: All registered buyers/customers and participating sellers on Scoopton.

1. Eligibility & Earning Points

  • Only registered customers are eligible to earn loyalty points. Guests and users checking out without creating an account are excluded.
  • Points are earned per product based on the specific seller’s loyalty rate. For example, a seller may offer 1 point per £1 spent.
  • Points are granted only after an order reaches an eligible status, such as "Delivered" or "Payment Accepted".
  • Points are cancelled or refunded automatically if:
  • The order enters an excluded or canceled status (e.g., Refunded, Returned, Cancelled).
  • The product is returned or refunded.

2. Redeeming Points

  • Customers may manually convert loyalty points into vouchers from their “My Loyalty Points” page.
  • Vouchers are seller-specific:
  • Can only be used to purchase products from the same seller who issued the points.
  • Cannot be combined with other vouchers (only one voucher allowed per cart).
  • Voucher usage is manual and customer-controlled:
  • Eligible vouchers are displayed as a drop-down option in both the cart and checkout pages.
  • If another voucher is already applied, seller-specific vouchers will be hidden or disabled.

3. Expiry

  • Loyalty points will expire after a set number of days.
  • Customers will receive notification emails or on-site alerts prior to expiry, allowing them to take action before losing their points.

4. Display & User Experience

  • Product listing and product detail pages will show potential points earned:
  • Example: "Earn +6 points with this purchase"
  • The displayed value reflects the earning for one unit, and will scale with quantity.
  • The cart summary and checkout pages display:
  • Available vouchers linked to individual sellers.
  • Messages clarifying voucher eligibility and usage constraints.

SELLER RULES

1. Program Participation

  • Sellers must explicitly opt-in to participate in the Loyalty Program via their Seller Dashboard.
  • Participation is voluntary and can be deactivated at any time.
  • Opting out disables future point earnings on their products but does not affect already issued points or vouchers.

2. Voucher Creation and Control

  • Sellers do not generate vouchers manually. Vouchers are created by the customers when a customer redeems eligible points are reached.
  • Sellers cannot directly manage or invalidate vouchers, but they can:
  • View all customer redemptions tied to their products.
  • View a list of all vouchers issued using points from their catalog.
  • Request admin intervention to adjust a customer's point balance under special circumstances (e.g., disputes, fraud, technical errors).

3. Points Management

  • Sellers may configure their own point conversion rate, such as "1 point per £1 spent".
  • Loyalty points earned from one seller’s products can only be used on that seller’s catalog.
  • The seller dashboard provides:
  • A summary of total points issued, redeemed, and expired.
  • Sellers will receive notifications whenever:
  • A customer redeems a loyalty voucher tied to their products.
  • A significant points-related event occurs (e.g., voucher generation, large redemptions).

OTHER TERMS

  • All loyalty points and vouchers are non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • The marketplace reserves the right to:
  • Modify or terminate the loyalty program at any time with prior notice.
  • Adjust point allocations in case of misuse, fraud, or error.
  • Resolve disputes or handle exceptions at its sole discretion.
  • Participation in this program implies acceptance of these terms.
